The extraction of active ingredients and essential oils with liquefied gases (commonly known as supercritical fluid co2

extraction machine)is a high-tech technology, recognized as the technology of the future in the production of natural

This is process is used the utilization of specific equipment, under certain conditions the properties of liquefied gases

(most often carbon dioxide - CO2) are used as a solvent.Under high pressure and low operating temperature, the co2

goes into supercritical phase and the natural ingredients are derived from the plant raw material - aromatic molecules,

Deploying individual perfume is like cooking. Only when seasonings are used well, food can obtain good taste.

When we deploy perfume, we should firstly set base tone before other tones. For example, in order to deploy

a oriental perfume with warm cozy and refreshing features, wood oil, musk oil or balsam oil should be base

tone. But there is no need to get complex fragrance when making individual perfume. Rose oil and benzoin

oil can be used as base tone, rosewood oil can be used as middle tone, bergamot oil can be used as top tone.

Then you will get target perfume.


As mediator of oils, rosewood oil can assuage the pungent fragrance in top tone, can coordinate citrus oil and

flower oil, wood oil and balsam oil. You also can have a try to harmonize totally unassociated oils, to make

your perfume stand out. For example, you can add little clove or cinnamon fragrance into flower fragrance oil

to make it deep. However, appropriate proportion of additive is critical, otherwise it will destroy the perfume.

In 19 century, there was a French named Phies. He classify the fragrances according to notes on music.

When the different fragrances combined together, they achieve harmony, just like the combination of

chord and overtone.

 

Nowadays it is not adopted anymore to deploy essential oil like that. But oils are clarified into three notes

-- top note, middle note and base note.

Top note: Oil with high volatility will volatilize immediately when it is exposed to environment. It features

by freshness and elegance.

Middle note: It appears when top tone takes off. It is the core of mixed fragrances. So it shares high

proportion during deployment.

Base note: This is the essence of dense fragrance. Its volatilization is slow but long-lasting.

 

So it has Top tone oils (from): tea tree, eucalyptus, citrus, lemon, basil;

Middle tone oils (from): geranium, lavender, marjoram, rosewood, rosemary;

Base note oils (from): patchouli, rose, jasmine, benzoin, frankincense, myrrh.

The function to keep fragrance, avoiding that it volatilizes too fast.

 

It’s said that ylang ylang essential oil is the one which has three notes at the same time. It has like sweet

potpourri top note, dense middle note and light but with bit of pungent potpourri base note. For the sake

of simplicity, generally essential oils are clarified based on three notes.


Below are the samples for reference: If one perfume would like to have harmony fragrances, it will contain

all the three notes. While the different proportions of notes will decide the perfume belonging to oriental

type or floral type. Through classification of essential oils is used in perfume industry, it also can be adopt

Essential Oil Synergy

 

Proportion of each oil in therapeutic oil is crucial to treatment. Many aromatherapy books have introduced special-purpose prescriptions for symptoms. When some oils are deployed together, its effect can be complementary or enhanced, more powerful than that of single pure oil. For example, the anti-inflammatory effect of chamomile oil and lavender oil mixture is much better than that of single chamomile oil. So oil synergy refers to when complementary oils are deployed together, its effect is more powerful than that of each singe oil. Thus we call such deployed oil synergy oils.

 

“In order to get better synergy oil, we should know more about pathogeny, body inner condition, mental factors and emotional factors besides symptoms ”, said Mrs Murray during treatment. She not only take patients’ body condition into consideration, but also their incidents and characters.

 

Generally oils from same genus are suitable for deploying, the same with oils with identical components. For example, camphor type oil has high dineole inside, all the oils from  myrtaceae plants(eucalyptus, tea tree, cajeput, myrtle, etc) and spike lavender, rosemary, Spanish sage, etc. can be well deployed with camphor type oil. The majority of floral odor oils, woody oil, resins oil, orange kind oil, spicy kind oil can be deploy well together. Some oils may belong to different genus, but they share the same components and similar components content, so they also can be deployed together well. For example, rosewood oil and linaloe oil, they both have high proportion of agarol and linalyl acetate, so they can be deployed well together.

 

Some oils can nearly enhance the effects of all oils, such as rose oil, jasmine oil, oak moss oil. So there is a saying goes in perfume field “No rose oil, no perfume.” While some oils if deployed together, their effects will be mutually inhibited. For example oils mainly with aldehyde component (like citronellal in citronella), oils with high proportion of ketone (like thujone in sage), oils with high proportion of phenol (like eugenol in clove), if such oils are deployed together, their effects will conflict with each other. So only knowing the chemical composition of oils is far from deploying out good synergy oils. Knowing the features and specialty of oils are highly required, together with the help of your intuition.

The medicinal properties and aroma components of essential oils

Why so many guys love to deploy essential oil ? It has two obvious purposes--for psychosomatic treatment and making perfume. When we are using Oil, oil for psychosomatic treatment and oil for perfume are actually not different types. They are nearly the same thing but focusing on different functions. For example, essential oil is not only helpful for lumbago treatment but also can help allay anxiousness.

 

So when we deploy essential oil, it will be much better if we pay attention to the fragrance whether it is appreciated even if deployed oil is mainly for psychosomatic treatment. As everybody has his disliked fragrance, for example, most male feel sick of deployed oil with pungent fragrance. So what kind of essential oil is used and how to deploy depend on personal taste. But during deployment, below tips should be noted:

 

Generally oil for psychosomatic treatment can be used on skin after dilution in base oil. To deploy oil for massage or body oil, essential oil should be mixed in light base oil, such as grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, hazelnut oil, safflower oil, peanut oil, soybean oil, corn oil, etc. , but never mineral oil used. If to deploy oil for some special skin symptoms, some thick oil, such as Jojoba Oil, avocado oil, peach kernel oil, almond oil, borage oil, evening primrose seed oil, olive oil, sesame oil and some infused oil like calendula oil, saint John's wort, etc. can be used as base oil in proportion by 10%. If adding 5% wheatgerm oil or soybean oil during deployment, antioxidation function will enhance a lot, thus oil can be kept for longer time.

 

Based on pathogenesis, essential oil in deployed oil keeps proportion from 1%-3%. If you are expert in such filed, your can deploy with essential oil proportion up to 5% to 15%. Generally speaking, if deployed oil is used for psychosomatic treatment, essential oil proportion should be a little high. If it is used for motion or nervous system treatment, essential oil proportion should be low. Besides, some essential oils have more powerful diffusibility, such as rose essential oil, jasmine essential oil. That means even there is just little such oil, it can give out much fragrance to effect a lot to the deployment.

Tea tree oil, also called melaleuca oil, is the extract from the leaves of the tea tree plant, which is native in Australia.  It has good effect in Anti-inflammatory, pore refining, curing common cold, cough, burning, coryza, asthma, remitting dysmenorrhea, closing wounds, refreshing the brain, etc. Such oil is also can be added into soap, face cream, body lotion, deodorant, disinfector, air freshener, etc. in daily use.

Generally we can get around 1kg tea tree oil from 100kg tea tree leaves and tender shoots (notice: not only tea tree leaves), namely that the oil yield is around 1%, while our test oil yield is just 0.61%. What happened to that? Is our machine not suitable for such extraction? NO! NO! NO! As the test is done in May, the beginning of summertime in China, tea tree is still under gathering its oil, so it is impossible to get oil yield close to or more than 1%. When it comes to late autumn and winter--the best season for oil production, the trees will have luxuriant oil inside. After test, the customer had taken some raw material to testing organization for testing oil content. It showed that his raw material had around 0.64% oil in May. That directly proofs our machine’s efficiency in such oil extraction by more than 95% oil extraction rate.

通常我们能从100千克茶树枝叶中提取出大约1千克的精油(注意:不是只有茶树叶,也有少许嫩枝干)。也就是说出油率约在1%。但可以看出我们实验出油率只有0.61%。这是什么情况?难道我们精油提取设备不适用于提取精油吗?答案当然是否定的!该实验是在五月份完成的。那会国内正是夏初之际,茶树正处于凝聚精油阶段,所以我们实验所得出油率不可能接近甚至达到1%。但随着时间推移,晚秋、冬天来临之际,正是提油的好时机,因为到那时茶树体内会含有丰富的精油。此外在实验后,客户也把五月份摘取的茶树枝叶拿去检测机构化验精油含量,数据显示原料含油率约在0.64%。那直接证明了我们精油提取设备在提取精油方面还是很高效的,提油率达到了95%以上。

What is Agarwood?
Oud, Oudh, Aloeswood, Agarwood, Gaharu (different names for the same meaning) is the common name for the tar-like resinous heartwood that forms in the ancient Aquilaria and some Gyrinops species of trees that are native to the dense forests of South East Asia. The heartwood of the tree produces this dark aromatic resin as part of its natural defence mechanism when infected with fungus (Phialophora Parasitica). This resin can be produced either through natural causes of the wild or through the artificial means of inoculating it with resin-inducing substances.

To explain the difference between the different Cannabis Types is to mention that, every Phenotype has a different concentration in THC and CBD. We just focus now in this both cannabinoids. AGARWOOD OIL:EXTRACTION PROCESS

The extraction process also affects the oil yields.
1.Conventional distillation plant
Water distillation methods using traditional apparatus is time consuming with high-energy consumption and low yields.

2.Modified conventional distillation plant
A modified distillation plant  with  gas  fired stoves and agitation systems. Energy and mass transfers have been improved on the later model. However, the distillation system still requires on-going research and modification.


3.Solvent extraction unit
Solvent extraction can be used in combination with distillation. A hydrocarbon solvent is put in with the wood dust and dissolves the essential oil. The resulting solution is then filtered and put through a distillation process that concentrates the oil to produce a resin. The remaining substance  is  a  combination  of wax and essential oil called "concrete".


4.Supercritical fluid extraction unit
The supercritical fluid extraction method is non-flammable, non-toxic, and chemically stable and consumes less energy. It provides some advantages over the classical method, since supercritical carbon dioxide has low viscosity, high diffusivity, and good transport properties and gives  faster  extraction  and high yields.


The extraction process can be further enhanced by a pre-treatment process that is affected by many parameters including wood chip size, solid to liquid ratio, pH, soaking time and agitation speed. For the distillation process more study and research is still required. There are questions such as whether water or steam distillation is better. The impacts of pressure, temperature and distillation time should be further investigated.

For solvent extraction, the effects of the different types of solvents, pressure, temperature, extraction time and agitation speed should be studied.

Most of essential oil from citrus fruits are using the expression way to get such as orange oil,lemon oil etc.The reason is that the oil from citrus fruits can not resist the high temperature of steam distillation,some ingredients will be destroyed if you use the steam distillation way.While lime oil is an exception,the quality and smell of the oil which is get by distillation way are better than that getting with expression way.

Expression way is mainly conducted manually through a natural sponge.People use sponge to adsorb the oil from peels after squeezing.Then the oil will be collected from sponge and sponge can be also sold as it has good smell.For now,the machine has replace the labor. to reduce the cost,such as the cold press machine.

Co2 extraction machine is suitable for the dried material and Co2 has strong adsorb ability.Changing the temperature and the pressure,CO2 will be in different status.The oil is got just through the conversion of the co2 status.The product got by the CO2 extraction machine do not have the volatility.The cost of the CO2 extraction machine and the use cost are both very high,but the extraction rate is ten times higher than steam distillation.
